Get involved in DEP: the Disciple Equipping Process

Each course is essential in becoming a fully functioning Christian and member of God’s family, the church.

DEP I: Discovering Church Membership

            Learn more about Golden Valley Baptist Church – our purposes, our vision, our beliefs and doctrines.  Be introduced to church organization and church stewardship.  Find out about avenues to becoming a member and the expectations for members.

DEP II: Developing Spiritual Maturity

            Develop the “how-to’s” of spiritual growth.  Learn how to read, study, meditate, memorize, and apply God’s Word in your daily time alone with God.  Develop your prayer life.  Discover how to deal with temptations and difficulties.  Find out how to live the victorious Christian life.              

DEP III: Discerning My Ministry

            Discover how your “SHAPE” – your spiritual gifts, your heart, your abilities, your personality, and your experiences can all be used by God in ministry.  During this course we will be helping you discover your spiritual gifts and ministry aptitude.  In addition, we will help you discover the best places for you to serve God in ministry at GVBC. 

DEP IV: Delighting In My Mission

            God has a mission for you!  You are to be His witnesses to those around you.  DEP IV is designed to teach you how to share your testimony and a brief presentation of the plan of salvation.  Also we will talk about all sorts of ways to be a witness for Christ.  Gain confidence in sharing your faith with others.
