Vision Statement
We
believe that God’s vision for Golden Valley Baptist Church is to create a place
where the
hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can find
love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and
encouragement.
We recognize
that God vision includes sharing the Good News of Jesus with the
thousands of residents in Golden
Valley and our part of Mohave
County.
We
firmly believe that God desires our church to become a center in the
community for meeting the wide variety of needs of residents of
Golden
Valley.
A vital part of
that vision is that we are to be engaged equipping people for
spiritual growth through Bible studies, small groups, seminars, and
retreats. As people
grow they must also be equipped for a significant ministry. We accept God’s challenge to
help each believer discover and use the gifts and talents that God
has given them..
In response to the
Great Commission we will also empower and equip every member for a
personal life mission in the world. Members will be encouraged
and sent by the dozens and hundreds on short-term mission projects
throughout Arizona, the United
States, and other parts of the
world.
God’s vision for our church also includes planting new
churches in areas of need on a regular basis.
To fulfill God’s vision for GVBC, we will plan and build a
functional and attractive church campus with an expandable
auditorium seating in excess of 500; centers for youth, children,
and recreation; a community center for meeting needs in the valley
including food pantry, clothing ministry, counseling, recovery
groups, job training, resource information and more; and adequate
educational space for Bible study, discipleship, fellowship, and
small-group ministries.
